As a corporate company, PROMET performs all its operations and activities in compliance with human rights, occupational health and safety.
Responsibility of ensuring compliance with this code of business conduct rests with the personnel and executive management. In case of failure to comply with the same, the personnel are encouraged and expected to report to the people in charge. PROMET assures its personnel not to feel concerned or uneasy about reporting.
All PROMET units, suppliers, subcontractors shall abide by the laws and regulations on operations, activities employment terms and conditions that are in force in the country they are seated. This is the minimum condition for all sections in this regulation.
Suppliers shall agree to comply with this regulation. Provided suppliers outsource subcontractors for the services provided with PROMET, the responsibility for ensuring the subcontractor complies with the terms and conditions of this regulation lies with the supplier itself. When requested, supplier shall inform PROMET about the subcontractor(s).
Child labours are not allowed under any circumstances. Unless the current conditions specify otherwise, underage employment is disallowed.
The management shall be responsible for employing minors that are allowed for employment under terms, conditions, working hours and proper salary in accordance with the current laws.
In case of a minor employed by suppliers and/or subcontractors of PROMET, actions not to aggravate social condition of the child shall be encouraged by PROMET.
Mode of employment contrary to the laws cannot be implemented under any circumstances.
A safe and healthy work environment shall be provided with all employees. Employer must take all necessary precautions to prevent the occupational accidents or illness.
PROMET accepts and respects cultural differences. All personnel shall be treated carefully and with due diligence in case of all decisions for employment, including the recruitment, promotion, salary, social benefits, training, dismissal, termination of employment contract.
No personnel shall be treated or subject to physical punishment or physical, sexual, psychological harassment or pejorative acts. No disciplinary penalty can be deduced from gained benefits unless otherwise provided in collective agreements or laws.
PROMET agrees that there will be a health balance between the working time and free time for the personnel. Legal regulations shall be observed while planning normal working times and overtime when needed. Except for extraordinary situations, all personnel shall be vested in minimum one day off in every seven days of time.
Overtime pays and social benefits shall be paid as per the current laws.
All personnel have liberty of constituting, participating or disincorproating organisation that represent their rights as employees, and of exercising their rights. No personnel shall be discouraged from or treating badly for exercising such rights in peace. The employer shall respect employees’ right for collective agreement.
Environmental issues are of primary concern to PROMET. To minimise environmental traces arising out of or connected to its operations, PROMET shall adopt an integrated approach. PROMET shall take all proper steps for all environmental effects including emissions, wastes and resources consumption.
The management is responsible for providing its personnel with information about their rights and obligations under this regulation, and for implementing the same. The management is also responsible for providing proper documents to reveal compliance on account of itself and its suppliers. As a condition for working with PROMET, suppliers must authorise it to conduct inspections, including interviews with the employees.
